Anti-Cheat
How it works
- The Anti-Cheat opens Left 4 Dead 2 for you and connects you to the server.
- While you play, it checks that the game files were not changed and that no unapproved program is reading or changing the game's memory.
- It tells the server everything is fine. Without a valid report, the server keeps you in spectator.
How to use
- Download and run the Anti-Cheat (Windows).
- Choose your Steam account. The game opens and connects to the server by itself.
- Keep the Anti-Cheat open while you play.
Good to know
- It does not take screenshots.
- It only sends basic diagnostic data (Steam ID, version and security events) to help investigate problems.
- The game opens with VAC disabled (-insecure), so during the session you can only join servers that also run without VAC.
- Windows only. It asks for administrator permission to protect the game files and process.
